We are here for you here Valley Brook Dental....we just can't see you right now. There has been a new update from the DOH for the field of dentistry. Please see the communication below.
WHAT ACTION IS THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DOH) DIRECTING DENTISTS TO TAKE?
Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 across the Commonwealth and the acknowledgment that some infected patients have minimal symptoms but may have person-to-person transmission potential. The PA DOH directs all dental facilities to cease all dental treatment except emergencies until further notice effective immediately. We ask providers who will need to close due to this notice to remain available to speak to patients and triage calls for dental emergencies.
BUT The DOH has required that in order to see dental emergencies you must have negative pressure isolation rooms with HEPA filtration. We do not know of any dental practices in Pennsylvania that meet this requirement at this time. Even Pitt Dental School does not have this negative pressure isolation room. But we are here for our patients and can provide screening by phone. If you are a current patient of record and are experiencing a dental emergency, please contact us by calling the office by following the prompts. The doctor will get back in touch with you as soon as possible to address your issues.
We sincerely hope that our patients and their loved ones stay safe during this event.
