Dr. Joseph Gurecka
Dr. Gurecka graduated from West Virginia University Magna Cum Laude with degrees in both Chemistry and Biology with a minor in History. He then worked as a chemist/production engineer for 2 years before returning to Pittsburgh to attend the University of Pittsburgh Dental School where he graduated with Honors (Omicron Kappa Upsilon). Immediately after graduation Dr. Gurecka completed a General Practice Residency at Allegheny General Hospital and, shortly afterward, passed his board exams and was admitted as a Fellow in the American Association of Hospital Dentists (now Special Care in Dentistry). He later returned to the University of Pittsburgh to attend the Katz Graduate School of Business and receive his Executive MBA with a focus on the emerging field of Biotechnology and Bone Tissue Engineering. Dr. Gurecka practices at Valley Brook Dental located in McMurray, PA and resides in Upper St. Clair with his wife and daughter where he is active in church and community programs. Outside of the office, Dr. Gurecka loves to bike, swim, ski, and almost anything involving being outdoors. He recently completed his first historical novel and is proofing for publication.
Dr. Gurecka is an avid participant in continuing education and likes to stay current with developing technologies in order to offer his patients the best possible care. He is a member of the ADA, PDA, WPDS, AAID, AO (Academy of Osseointegration), and Fellow SCDA (Special Care Dentistry Association. This includes Geriatric Care, Hospital and Special Needs Dental Care.
